Want to become an EWAP grant reviewer?
Peer review is a valuable part of the EWAP Grant process and
critical to the successful outcome of projects and the documentation of
endangered wooden architecture around the world.
WHO: We are interested in peer reviewers from various
disciplinary and professional backgrounds who have established expertise in
traditional wooden architecture, including its construction and cultural
production (in a specific geographic region). Prior experience reviewing or
approving research grant applications would be an advantage but is not a
requirement.
AVAILABILITY: The
first peer review round is scheduled for March 2022, with annual cycles. During
this period, you may be asked to undertake one or two reviews, depending on
availability. We therefore ask that peer reviewers indicate their availability
for the four-week time period. The review will be carried out remotely and each
peer reviewer must have access to the Internet, and have the ability to
interact within a Web-based environment.
QUALITY OF REVIEW:
Each peer reviewer must commit to providing detailed, objective,
constructive, and timely written reviews for each assigned application. These
reviews will be used to recommend applications for funding. The reviews will be
anonymised and shared with each applicant.
Peer reviewers will receive £75 for their time and effort
for each review, contingent upon satisfactory completion of the above
requirements within the required time schedule.
